Responsible Travel Guidelines
At Excursions Greece, we are committed to offering travel experiences that respect local communities, cultural heritage, the natural environment, and the dignity of every person.
We kindly ask all guests joining our excursions to follow the responsible travel guidelines below.

Respect for People and Local Communities
Guests are encouraged to respect local customs, traditions, religious sites, and community life. When visiting villages, monasteries, archaeological sites, markets, family businesses, or other local spaces, please behave respectfully and follow the guidance of your guide or tour leader.
Please ask for permission before photographing local people, especially children, elderly people, workers, or people in private settings.
Zero Tolerance of Exploitation and Harassment
Excursions Greece applies a zero tolerance policy towards commercial, sexual, or any other form of exploitation, harassment, human trafficking, or abuse, particularly involving children, adolescents, and vulnerable individuals.
Guests must not participate in, encourage, ignore, or support any activity that may involve exploitation, abuse, harassment, or inappropriate behavior towards another person.
Any suspicious, inappropriate, or concerning behavior should be reported immediately to the guide, tour leader, cruise representative, local authorities, or emergency services.
Protection of Children and Vulnerable Individuals
Children and vulnerable individuals must always be treated with dignity, respect, and care.
Guests should avoid any behavior that could be considered intrusive, inappropriate, or exploitative. This includes taking photographs of children without permission, giving money or gifts directly to children in ways that may encourage dependency or exploitation, or entering private spaces without invitation.
Respect for Cultural and Religious Sites
Many excursions include visits to churches, monasteries, archaeological sites, memorials, museums, and traditional communities. Guests are kindly asked to follow dress codes, photography rules, silence requirements, and any instructions provided by site staff or the guide.
In religious sites, modest dress may be required. Shoulders and knees may need to be covered, and hats may need to be removed in certain areas.
Environmental Responsibility
Guests are asked to help protect the natural environment by avoiding littering, staying on marked paths where applicable, respecting wildlife, and avoiding the removal of stones, plants, shells, archaeological fragments, or other natural or cultural items.
Where possible, please use refillable water bottles, reduce single-use plastics, and dispose of waste responsibly.
Responsible Shopping and Souvenirs
Excursions Greece encourages guests to support local businesses, artisans, family-run shops, and producers where appropriate.
Guests should avoid purchasing illegal or unethical souvenirs, including items made from protected plants, animals, archaeological objects, or cultural heritage materials. If unsure, please ask your guide before purchasing.
Animal Welfare
Guests should not support activities that involve animal abuse, neglect, or poor welfare standards. Animals should not be used for entertainment in ways that cause harm, stress, or exploitation.
If an excursion includes interaction with animals, guests are expected to follow the instructions of the guide and respect animal welfare standards.
Health, Safety, and Emergency Conduct
Guests are asked to follow all safety instructions provided by guides, tour leaders, drivers, site staff, or local authorities.
In case of an emergency, guests should immediately inform the guide or tour leader. Where necessary, local emergency services will be contacted.
Our Commitment
Excursions Greece works with guides, tour leaders, transport providers, local partners, and cruise partners to promote responsible tourism practices during the delivery of excursions.
By joining our excursions, guests are kindly asked to respect these guidelines and contribute to a safe, respectful, and responsible travel experience for everyone.
